To facilitate corneal transplantation (CT) in Croatia (where the waiting list for CT still exits), Croatian Ministry of Health have certified the non-govermental Hospital-University Eye Hospital “Svjetlost” as a transplantation centre. In “Svjetlost“ hospital all transplantations are performed with tissue from Eye Bank Center Zagreb or imported from certified eye banks from Europe.
In 2018 the number of corneal transplantations performed in the Clinic was 64.
